Interns join DMTC for Land Forces 2022

On the second day of Land Forces 2022, DMTC Ltd hosted a delegate day for its Industry Capability Development program. DMTC’s Delegate Day provided attendees with an opportunity to meet other program participants from across Australia and hear how DMTC’s leadership of capacity-building and technology transfer activities closely aligns with Defence’s focus on increasing opportunities for Australian industry, with the aim of better supporting the warfighter.

Another key focus of the day was identifying ways that the deployment of digital technologies can transform design and manufacturing processes, and drive value and productivity gains for Australian small businesses.

A few of the many highlights of the Delegate Day was a guided tour of the Land Forces industry exhibition, including introductions to key Australian Industry Capability representatives from both Primes and State Governments, and an informative Community of Practice panel session with Nicole Sinclair (Parish Engineering Co), Andrew Rowell (R&I Instrument & Gear Co) and Ken Stuart (Redline Engineering).

Many thanks to our special guest speakers, MAJGEN Jason Blain, DSC, AM, CSC and Sarah Myers from Defence Australia, and to the Smart Enough Factory interns who joined us to share their own experiences assisting SMEs to get the most out of their #industry4.0 transformation journey.
