DMTC entries shortlisted for Innovation Awards
Two DMTC-sponsored entries have been shortlisted among a total of 18 Australian defence innovators, including four Young Innovators, for the LAND FORCES 2018 Industry Innovation Awards.
Young Innovator nominee Steven Linforth, from the University of Melbourne, is part of a DMTC Land Vehicles project which aims to exploit the potential of accurate, reliable computer modelling to streamline the design process for future generations of protected military vehicles.
In the National Innovation Award category, a DMTC project through industry partner Planet Innovation is investigating a range of novel technology improvements to contribute to a sovereign industrial Medical Countermeasures capability for Australia, in order to be ready to respond to a range of natural or man-made threats, diseases and pandemics.
The six categories of awards will be announced on Wednesday 5 September.
