DMTC Armour Program shortlisted for presigious Eureka Prize

DMTC’s breakthrough research into protection and improved manufacturing processes for protected mobility vehicles has been shortlisted for a prestigious Eureka Prize in the “Outstanding Science in Safeguarding Australia” category. Finalists for the awards were announced on 2 August.

The work represents the best examples of collaboration with a range of industry and research sector partners including:

  • Thales Australia
  • Bluescope Steel
  • FCST
  • ADA
  • Seal Solutions
  • Bisalloy
  • ANSTO
  • DSTO
  • The University of Wollongong
  • Swinburne University
  • The University of Melbourne, and
  • VCAMM

and has already led to some significant advances in production and protective capability that will continue to protect our front-line personnel against evolving threats in mounted and dismounted operations.  DMTC is delighted to have been shortlisted for this award and congratulates each of our partner organisations for their critical contributions and the collaborative manner in which the work has progressed.
